King, 92, of Robeline, died Nov. 28, 2002, at Mason D'Ville Care Center. He pastored several churches in Natchitoches, Sabine, and DeSoto Parishes. Masonic services were conducted by Jim Peterson. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Dec. 1, at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel, with interment following at Beulah Cemetery in Marthaville. The Rev. Lee Dickson, the Rev. Paul Ferrant, the Rev. Larry Foster, the Rev. Glynn Howard, and Dr. Dean Hedrick officiated. Survivors include his widow, Lucille Cotton Parish King of Robeline; son, Robert Lynn King Sr. and wife Shirley of Belmont; two daughters, Helen Ruth Franklin and husband Carey Lee of Mansfield, and Katherine Nell Stephens of Shreveport; four sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; ten grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Effie Prothro King; his parents, Fate and Matt King; five sisters; one brother; and one grandchild. Pallbearers were Kenny Parks, Sonny Miller, Mike Goings, Gene Craig, Reese Stephens, Bobby Smith, Dean Dyes, and Johnny Winn. Honorary pallbearers was Paul Jordan. Warren Meadows, Many, La.
