The Sabine Index - H. H. Kennedy

  22 Feb 1957 - Funeral rites were held Monday at 3 p.m. for H.
H. Kennedy age 95, retired banker and businessman, at the family
residence in Pleasant Hill. Rev. M. C. Cady and Rev. Cecil Salley
officiating. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill cemetery under
the direction of the Drewitt funeral home of Mansfield with
Masonic rites at the graveside.

  Mr. Kennedy, son of the late Hugh S. Kennedy was born and
reared at Pleasant Hill. He received his schooling at old
Pleasant Hill and worked with his father in his business
enterprises. He was successful in business and banking, having
been president of the Bank of Pleasant Hill for many years. Mr.
Kennedy of late received a signal honor from the Masonic Order,
having been recognized as being the oldest Mason in the point of
membership in Louisiana, was recently awarded the Teche Vally
Medal.

  Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Bettie Smith Kennedy of Pleasant
Hill.
