Knott, 75, of Marthaville, were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 23, at the Beulah Methodist Church in Marthaville. The Rev. Abe Conerly officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Plans were under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis funeral Home in Natchitoches. Mr. Knott, a retired businessman, died Monday afternoon, Feb. 21, at the P and S Hospital in Shreveport. He was a native of Marthaville. Mr. Knott was a Mason, a past president of the Natchitoches Parish Police Jury, and was a former member of the Board of Directors of the Natchitoches Parish Hospital, and the Louisiana State Crime Lab in Shreveport. He is survived by his wife, Willie Mae Knott of Marthaville; four daughters, DeLois McCartney of Winnfield, Clydie Mitchell of Shreveport, Jimmye Holmes of Marthaville, and sue Elliott of Baton Rouge; three sisters, Uvey Middleton of Lamesa, Texas, Betty Sykes of Tullos, and Mrs. Elroy Jenning of Winnfield; two brothers, Oscar H. Knott of Marthaville, and Roland H. Knott of Lake Jackson, Tex.; six grandchildren.
