John Foster, and Rev. Edwin Fenton officiating. Burial followed in Beulah Cemetery, under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches. Mrs. Knott, age 84, of Marthaville, died at 6:10 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 26, in Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. W. Knott. Mrs. Knott was a native, and lifelong resident of Marthaville, was a retired merchant, a member of Beulah United Methodist Church, and the Natchitoches Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter #13. She was active in many community organizations. Survivors include four daughters, DeLois McCartney and husband A. J. of Winnfield, Clydie Mitchell and husband Ray of Shreveport, Jimmye Holmes of Marthaville, and Sue Elliott of Baton Rouge; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
