Lula Lavada Kirkland

  Funeral services for Lula Lavada Kirkland, age 78, who died June
7, were conducted at the graveside in Zwolle Cemetery at 3 p.m.,
June 9, with Rev. Ledford officiating. Interment was under the
direction of Warren Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were Calvin Jones, S. L. Campbell, W. C. Vickers,
Leonard Crone, C. G. Bullard, and Quinton Brandon.

  Survivors are her husband, Ben Kirkland of Zwolle; four sons,
Marvin Dorris of Springhill, J. L. Dorris of Kuntze, Tex., W. E.
Dorris of Springhill, and J. A. Dorris of New Iberia; two
sisters, Mrs. Daisy Gilbert of Kilgore, Mrs. Ola Richardson of
Springhill; six grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
