Mr. Karnopp died suddenly of a heart attack, following surgery at Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport, on Dec. 20, 1994. He was born in Ft. Smith, Ark., on July 20, 1907, and raised and educated in Kansas City, Mo. Mr. Karnopp was an avid hunter and fisherman. After retiring from the resort business in Canada, and the Ozarks, he moved to Many, and pursued his hobby of gunsmithing, and owned and operated the ?EK Gun Shop. He was a member of the N.R.A. He resided in Many for 21 years. He is survived by his son, William Karnopp; and daughter-in-law, Lucille of Ventura, Calif.; one sister, Mildred Karnopp of Kansas City, Mo.; two granddaughters, Lori Howton of Inglis, Fla., and Suzanne Martin of Gualala, Calif.; and four great grandchildren.
