Law, 71, of Vivian, were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 26, at the McGuire Funeral Home Chapel in Vivian. Officiating was the Rev. G. W. Coward, pastor of Caddo Prairie Baptist Church, in Mira, and the Rev. J. W. Crowe, pastor of the Walnut Hill Baptist Church. Burial was in Munnerlyn Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Law died Monday, April 24, in Eastway General Hospital in Houston, Texas, after a long illness. A native of Zavalla, Texas, Mrs. Law had lived in Vivian 50 years. She was a housewife, and member of Pine Island Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, L. R. Law of Houston; a daughter, Betty Newbald of Slidell; two sisters, Annie Keene of Oil City, and Edna Oakerson of Zwolle; two brothers, Cue Tomkins, and Lane Tomkins, both of Vivian; 10 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Morris Carter, Hershel Smith, Kenneth McVay, Jody Maxwell, Homer White, and Leon Croft.
