Lee, were at 2 p.m., Wednesday, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Longview, Texas, with the Rev. Tommy Gray officiating. Burial was in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Radar Funeral Home. Mr. Lee died Saturday, at a Longview hospital. A well known retired businessman, Mr. Lee was born in Florien, La., on Aug. 23, 1914. He came to Longview in 1936, and was employed by E. K. Bennett, who was then distributor for Continental Oil Company. In 1942, he became associated with the National Supply Company, with duties in Longview, East and West Texas, and South Louisiana, before he was promoted to store manager for the company at Winnsboro. He was there several years before returning to Longview, to own and operate a service station. Later, Mr. Lee became Continental Oil's distributor in Gregg County, and owned several service stations in the county. He was married to Elizabeth Lankford in 1943. Known to his friends as Lee, he was a longtime member of Wesley United Methodist Church, and it's Men's Bible Class, He had a 10 year perfect attendance in the Longview Lions Club, where he had been a member since 1951. His other affiliations included the Longview Symphony League, Longview Community Theatre, East Texas Knife and Fork Club, and Elks Lodge. He was one of the original stockholders of Cherokee Water Company. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; sisters, Mrs. Clarence Bullard of Zwolle, La., and Mrs. W. W. Holmes of Jonesboro, La.; nephew Glenwood Bullard of Zwolle, La., and nieces Carol Renae Parker, and Shelia Beth Holmes, both of Lafayette, La. Pallbearers were E. K. Bennett, Randall Gresham, Dirk Thomas, Pat Ferchill, Charles Corban, Peter Smith, Alvin Polaski, and Roy Shirey. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Hickey, Fred Boatner, Roy McGahee, members of the Men's Bible Class of Wesley United Methodist Church, and members of the Longview Noon Lions club.
