All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Alton "Jim" Lauw Funeral services for Mr. Alton "Jim" Lauw, 73, of Marthaville, were held at 2 p.m., on Sunday, April 14, 1996, at Beulah Methodist Church in Marthaville. Rev. Ray Dyess, and Rev. Glenn Howard officiated. Burial was in Beulah Cemetery, under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches. Mr. Lauw died on April 12, 1996, at Highland Hospital in Shreveport. Mr. Lauw was a native of Marthaville, a resident of Marthaville, a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church, a retired firefighter for the La. Forestry Commission, and a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Survivors are his wife, Leree B. Lauw of Marthaville; one son, Bo Lauw; three daughters, Judy Baxter, Sandra Mitchell and husband Shane, Carol Hays and husband Chub, all of Marthaville; three brothers, Alva F. Lauw of Lafayette, Ardis Lauw of Natchitoches, and Atwood Lauw of Robeline; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
