O. Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper, with burial in Brookland Cemetery. He died Wednesday from injuries received in an auto accident near Call, Texas. A native of Zwolle, La., he lived in Brookland most of his life, and was a journeyman fireman with local Union No. 390 in Port Arthur. Survivors include his mother, Lucy Lopez of Zwolle; wife, Jeanetta Lopez of Brookland; six sons, Tony Lopez of Groves, Darrell Lopez, Billy C. Lopez, Paul Lopez, and Jerry Chambers, all of Brookland, and Terry Lopez of North Carolina; five brothers, M. A. Lopez of Conroe, Texas, R. V. Lopez of New Caney, and Donny Lopez, Doyle Lopez, Kenneth Lopez, all of Zwolle. A sister, Sue Drake of Garland; and two grandchildren.
