All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Tom Lopez Noble, La. - Services for Mr. Tom Lopez, 80, were held at 10 a.m., Thursday, February 28, at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Ebarb, with Msgr. Norman Buvens officiating, and Fr. Danny Walsh assisting. Burial followed at St. Ann's Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Tom, a lifelong resident of Sabine Parish, died following a short illness. He was employed in the logging industry for many years. Tom worked for a number of local contractors, and retired at the age of 72, while working for G. J. "Pie" Martinez. Tom never met a stranger, and made many friends in his lifetime. He enjoyed dancing, family cookouts, and riding with his best friend, Seba Ebarb. Mr. Lopez was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lisa Gleason. He is survived by his wife, Cora Lopez of Noble; three sons, Joseph E. "Buck" Lopez of Abbeville, Joseph C. "Buckeye" Lopez of Noble, Terry Joe Lopez of Ebarb; six daughters, Mary Imogene Gleason of Madison, Miss., Thelma Laine Doucet of Carrollton, Va., Margie Gleason of Jackson, Miss., Sarah Bourque of DeRidder, Virginia Ebarb of Ebarb, Debbie Rivers of Zwolle; one sister, Della Farmer of Converse; 27 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Sammy Ray Procell, John D. Ebarb, Randle Manshack, Buck Procell, Anthony Ebarb, Earl Ebarb, and G. J. Martinez. Honorary pallbearers were T. J. Ebarb, Bill Ebarb, Seba Ebarb, Donald Ebarb, and Bo Procell.
