Lafitte, 56, of Robeline, were held Friday, July 9, 1993, at 10 a.m., in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rambin, with interment in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rev. Richard Norsworthy officiated. A prayer vigil was held Thursday evening, at Rose-Neath's Mansfield Chapel. Mrs. Lafitte died suddenly, Monday, July 5, 1993, in Bellingham, Ma. She was born in Robeline, and was a former Home Economics teacher, and field worker for government social welfare programs. She received a B.S. degree from Northwestern University. She was a homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by one brother, Daniel H. Elliot. Surviving her are her husband, B. Y. (Pete) Lafitte of Robeline; her mother, Grace Hesser Elliot of Many; two sons, Timothy Neal Lafitte of Brazoria, Tex., Edwin Keith Lafitte of Robeline; two daughters, Lisa Lafitte Hymel of Baton Rouge, La., Melanie Anne Lafitte Roark of Monroe, La.; three sisters, Fon Anderson of Savannah, Ga., Irma Lou E. Meacham of Shreveport, La., Hazel E. Wright of Ringgold, La.; grandchildren, Cassy Nicole Lafitte, Timothy Neal Lafitte Jr. of Brazoria, Tex., Winton William Hymal III of Baton Rouge, La., and Kevin Edwin Roark Jr. of Monroe, La. Pallbearers were Joseph B. Lafitte, Bearl J. Lafitte, Louis D. Lafitte, Francis P. Lafitte, Kenneth J. Roark, and Paul Hesser. Honorary pallbearers were Kevin E. Roark, C. J. Fabian Jr., and Winton Hymel II.
