Marvin Lafitte

  Marvin Lafitte, 65, died Saturday, May 26, at his residence in
Joaquin, Tex., after a lengthy illness.

  Funeral services were held on Monday, in the Union Springs
Baptist Church, with the Rev. Lamar Duncan officiating. Burial
was in Union Springs Cemetery, under the direction of Caraway
Funeral Home.

  Survivors are his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Doris Strickland of
Shreveport; two sons, Prentis Lafitte of Houston, Tex., and Bo
Lafitte of Joaquin; one sister, Mrs. R. C. Farmer of Converse;
and seven grandchildren.
