Dewitt Lafiette

  Funeral services for Dewitt Lafiette, age 53, who died April 26,
after a short illness, was conducted at Many First Baptist
Church, at 10 a.m., April 28, with Rev. Kelly Fitzgerald
officiating, assisted by Rev. Earl Warren. Interment was in Many
Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were John, and George R. Cook, John L. McDonald,
Truett Walden, Dr. N. U. Booker, and Mr. Houghlan.

  Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Dewitt Lafiette of Many; daughter,
Rachel J. Houghlan of Shreveport; one grandchild, Father Joseph
Lafiette of Center, Tex.; brothers, Earnest Lafiette of Baytown,
Texas, Reese Lafiette of Houston, Albert, and Joe B. Lafiette,
both of Shreveport, Glen Lafiette of U. S. Marine Corp.; sisters,
Mrs. C. M. Miller of Paola, Kan., Mrs. J. C. Morris of Many, Mrs.
Richard Rohe of Detroit, Mich.
