Leopold 24 Feb 1933 - Many high school was closed Tuesday in reverence of the death at Grand Cane of Mrs. J. L. Leopold, mother of Principal J. T. Leopold. Mrs. Leopold, wife of Dr. J. L. Leopold, died at 3:15 o'clock Tuesday morning. Funeral services were held at the Grand Cane Baptist church Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, with the Rev. W. C. McCullen, assisted by the Rev. E. C. Horten officiating with interment in the Grand Cane cemetery. Prof.. and Mrs. Leopold were present at the demise and funeral. Before her marriage Mrs. Leopold was Miss Helen Fryer McMillan, was born at Keatchie, May 2, 1867, and was educated at old Keatchie Baptist college. Surviving Mrs. Leopold, besides her husband and Prof. Leopold are the following children: Mrs. W. H. Potts of Shreveport; J. L. Leopold, Jr., C. G. Leopold, and R. M. Leopold, all of Grand Cane.
