The Rev. A. V. Walters, and the Rev. Kenneth Leach officiated. Burial was in the Beulah Cemetery. Survivors include his wife; one son, J. V. Lovelady of Longview, Texas; 10 daughters, Mrs. Bertha Oliver, Mrs. Estelle Brown, Mrs. Billie Brown of Negreet; Mrs. Bernice Rogers of Many; Mrs. Virgie Evans of Stonewall, Texas; Mrs. Jewell Hippler, and Mrs. Hazel Crouch of Longview; Mrs. Inez Knopp of Many; Mrs. Rosemary King of Violet; and Mrs. Jean Crouch of Houston; one brother, George Lovelady of Florien; 33 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren. Pall Bearers were J. H Oliver, Ross Oliver, Robert Elzey Rogers, J. V. Lovelady, George Henry Evans, and Bob Brown. Honorary Pallbearers included George Cook, T. M. Phillips, Clyde Anthony, Lee Wedgeworth, Nathan Wright, Howard Blackwell, and Coleman Hippler.
