Leopold, age 46, died at Mayo clinic, Rochester, Minn., at 4 p.m. Monday, following an operation. Funeral rites will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday, Jan 10 at the First Baptist church with the pastor, Rev. J. C. Cement, officiating assisted by Rev. C. W. Williams of DeRidder and Rev. Burckner of Jonesboro. Interment will be in the Mancy cemetery, Massingill funeral home directing. Pallbearers will be Roy Alford, A. L. Head, Lawson Arrington, Kenneth Nichols, Milton C. Hall and Joe Dover. Honorary pallbearer, all school board members and high school principals of the parish. Surviving are: wife, Mrs. Wilma Williams Leopold, daughter of Mrs. J. D. Williams and the late J. D. Williams; an adopted daughter, Pegy Ann Leopold; two brothers, C. G. Leopold, San Antonio, Texas, R. N. Leopold, Baton Rouge, sister, Ms. W. H. Potts, Laurel, Miss., and several aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. Mr. Leopold was prominent in school affairs of Sabine parish for 29 years, having served as a teacher in Florien for three years, 10 years as principal of Florien high school, 14 years principal of Many high school and at the time of his death had served two years as parish visiting teacher. He was a Mason, member of the Eastern Star and the Baptist church. The remains will arrive from Rochester Thursday evening.
