Murphy J. Leavines

  Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m., August 12, for Murphy
J. Leavines, 73, of Florien.

  The services were held at Hixson's Chapel in DeRidder, with the
Rev. S. L. Lantrip officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery.

  Mr. Leavins was a native of Sugartown, and a retired railroad
engineer.

  Survivors are his widow; two step sons, Virgil J. Fugler, Waco,
Texas, and Wallace Fugler, Ferriday; a step daughter, Mrs. Mittie
Buckley, San Antonio; three sisters, Mrs. Winnie Whitwell,
Healdsburg, Calif., Mrs. Winnie Irvin, Longview, Texas, Mrs.
Willie Collins, Silsbee, Texas.
