All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mavis Willov Leach Mavis Willov Leach, 77, of San Angelo, Texas and formerly of Lake Charles died at 5:45 a.m. Friday, June 4, 1999 in a San Angelo, Texas Medical Center. Miss Leach was born September 11, 1921 in Hornbeck to Arie Jett Leach and Eli Hoyt Leach. Most of her younger years were spent in Hornbeck, Plainview and Florien. She loved children and in return they loved her, which kept her busy babysitting for the neighborhood. The Leach family moved from Hornbeck to Lake Charles in July of 1950. Willov became a member of Boulevard Baptist Church and was a member there for 48 years. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 7, in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The Rev. Hoy N. Leach officiated. Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Byron M. and Katherine Morgan Leach of Marietta, Ga.; three sisters, Kathleen Leach Dowden and brother-in-law, J. T. Dowden of Leesville, Carolyn Leach Wills of San Angelo, Texas and Naomi Leach Wenzel of Hamilton, Texas; seven nephews; and one niece. Johnson Funeral Home Lake Charles, La.
