All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** The Sabine Index - Mrs. Pearlie Lewis 19 Apr 1935 - Death laid claim to Mrs. Pearlie Lewis, 35, early Friday morning at 2:00 o'clock, at her home three miles east of Belmont. Mrs. Lewis is survived by her husband, Emery S. Lewis and five children, two boys, Walter, 18, Fred, 15, three girls, Alice, 12, Audie, 6, Ora 3. Death came as a sudden shock to the community, having been sick only a few days. Her body was quietly laid to rest at Old Pisgah cemetery Friday afternoon at three o'clock, with the Rev. A. M. Monk, former pastor of Boleyn Pentecostal church officiating. Mrs. Lewis had been a member of this church continually for 15 years. Her absence is mourned by a large circle of relatives and a host of friends. Her life was one of love, faithfulness and loyalty to her husband, to her children, and to all her friends of which all are here to testify that she has gone to sweet rest with Jesus throughout eternity.
