Cause of death was due to an extended illness. Services were held May 8, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Florien. The Revs. W. E. and J. C. Leach and the Rev. Carl Tubbs officiated. Interment was at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Pallbearers were his grandsons. Surviving relatives are his wife, Mrs. J. Lud Leach of Shreveport; sons, W. E., D. D. and Glen Leach of Shreveport; J. C. Leach of Livingston, David Leach of Las Vegas, Tyrell Leach of Monroe and Fred Leach of Florien; daughters are Mrs. Marie Strickland of Florien, Mrs. Lucille Stewart of Shreveport, Mrs. Edna Earl of Houston; brothers are Hoyt Leach of Lake Charles, Ocie Leach of DeQuincy and Oscar Leach of New London, Texas; sister is Mrs. Carrie Montrose of Hornbeck; 30 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
