Funeral services were held on Monday, May 31, at 2 p.m., in the Hixson Chapel. Burial was in the Leesville Cemetery, under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home. Lewis was survived by his wife, Mrs. June Monroe Lewis. Lewis is a LSU Alumnus, 1932 graduate, veteran of the U. S. Navy, Lt. Commander, WWII, registered professional electrical engineer, general superintendent electrical engineer for naval facilities, former instructor of Shreveport Trade School, former executive for Louisiana Power and Light, Member of the Military Engineers, Philadelphia, Pa., and teaching fellow at LSU.
