The Sabine Index - George W. Leach

  9 Feb 1951 - Funeral rites for George W. Leach, 70, of
Florien who passed away Wednesday of last week at Sabine clinic,
Zwolle, following a long illness, were conducted at Prospect
Methodist church near Florien 1 p.m. Sunday by Rev. L. B.
Ritchie, assisted by Rev. J. H. Holder. Interment was under
direction Warren funeral home with Masonic rites at the
graveside.

  Pallbearers were L. B. Skinner, Jarvis Westbrook, T. M.
Phillips, John Wright and R. T. Martin.

  Surviving relatives include: the widow, Mrs. Hettie
Leach, Florien; brothers Vandy Leach, Florien, Dawson Leach,
Ajax; sister, Mrs. Nora Lyons, Texas City; Texas; a number of
nieces and nephews.

  Mr. Leach was a life-long resident of Sabine Parish,
having been engaged in the mercantile business at Florien until
1941, when he retired.
