Lewis of Many, died Saturday, June 23, at 8:05 a.m., following a short illness. Services were held in the Warren Meadows Chapel at 10 a.m., on Monday, June 25, with the Rev. H. H. Tibbitts, Rev. Kenneth Leach, and Rev. C. C. Pierce officiating. Burial followed in the Lewing Cemetery. Pallbearers were Billy Ray Skinner, Joe Byles., Wingate Dowden, Walter Sculthorpe, Travis Bennett, J. L. Berel, Frank Leach, Hoy Leach, Bill Bolton, Harian Wright, and Butch Manasco. Survivors include his wife, Lucille Lewis; five sons, John Paul Lewis of Moab, Utah, Gerald Wayne Lewis of Dallas, Texas, Tyrone Lewis of Lacamp, Gregory James Lewis of Shreveport, and Gary Lynn Lewis of Many; two daughters, Linda Fenter and Connie Lewis, both of Many; three sisters, Mrs. Irene Eason of Florien, and Mrs. Cornie Leach of Many, and Mrs. Hazel McComic of Zwolle, a half sister, Linda P. Lewis of Hornbeck, and a stepmother, Mrs. Tessie Ford, also of Hornbeck; and 13 grandchildren.
