Hassie Leach

  Hassie Leach, 83, of Hornbeck, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, at 5:21
a.m., in Hornbeck, following an extended illness.

  Funeral services were held at the Warren Meadows Funeral Chapel,
Thursday, Dec. 13, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Ernest Lord, and the
Rev. Roy Dowden officiating. Burial followed in the Beckom
Cemetery in Hornbeck.

  Survivors include one son, Buddy Leach of Beaumont, Tx.; two
daughters, Mrs. Melmo McCollough, and Mrs. Connie Strong, both of
Hornbeck; three sisters, Mrs. Lessie Waller of Hornbeck, Mrs.
Gladys Stokes of San Antonio, Tx., and Mrs. Maude Youngblood of
Hearne, Tx.; one brother, Veston Fondren of Morgan City; seven
grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Charles T. Strong Jr., Ted Cabra, Benny Evans,
Billy Lewis, Larry Leach, and Lee Hanna.
