Dr. George R. Smith III, pastor of Sunset Acres Baptist Church, officiated. The Rev. Gary Melanson, minister of music of Sunset Acres Baptist Church, assisted. Burial was in Centuries Memorial Park. Mrs. Leach, a native of Negreet, La., died Saturday, May 17, 1986, in Highland Hospital, following a lengthy illness. She had been a resident of Shreveport since the early 1940's. She was a homemaker, and a member of Sunset Acres Baptist Church. She was survived by her husband, W. F. Leach of Shreveport; two daughters and sons-in-law, Margie L. and Jimmy Smith of Bridge City, Texas, and Billie L. and Robert Gorham of Jacksonville, Texas; two sisters, Zelma Anthony and Bertha Salter, both of Many, La.; one brother, Howard Blackwell of Florien, La.; four grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
