L. A. Lewis

  30 May 1968 - L. A. Lewis, 65, of Shreveport, died May 23 after
a short illness.

  Funeral services were held Friday, May 24, at Emmanuel Gospel
Church with Bros, John Tipton, Rodney Durant and Freeman
officiating.

  Interment was in the Old Pisgah Cemetery, under the direction of
Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Survivors include: two sons, Corbet D. Lewis, of Keithville,
Billy F. Lewis of Shreveport; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Loretta
Hughes; Mrs. Emma Jean Driggers, and Mrs. Mandy Louetta Pearson,
all of Shreveport; four brothers, Ivy and Curtis Lewis of
Shreveport, Norris Lewis of Mansfield, and Emery Lewis of
Marthaville; one sister, Mrs. Ellen Ferguson of Pineville and 12
grandchildren.
