Bessie Y. Locke

  Funeral services for Bessie Y. Locke, 98, of Marthaville, were
held Saturday, Jan. 11, 1997, at 2 p.m., at the Chapel of
Blanchard-St. Denis. Officiating was pastor Jack Frye. Interment
was at Marthaville Cemetery, under the direction of Blanchard-St.
Denis Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Locke died Thursday, Jan. 9, at Heritage Manor Nursing
Home. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of
Marthaville.

  She is survived by one sister, Alma Y. Massey of Natchitoches.
