He died from a glioblastoma brain tumor. Mr. Lewis owned and operated Lewis Oil and Gas Co. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 29, at Union Springs Cemetery. Bro. Bob Phillips officiated, and Bro. David Lane Assisted. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Betty S. Lewis of Converse; one son, Marvin W. "Trey" Lewis III of Converse; one brother, John F. Lewis of Bossier City; one niece; and three nephews. Pallbearers were Larry Sullivan, Richard Ryals, Phillip Chaney, Charlie Webb, Donald Long, and Larry Wright. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of Louisiana. The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staff of Green Meadow Haven Nursing Home for the loving care given to Mr. Lewis, and his family.
