Lewis, and Mrs. Jammie Tackett of Many, took place Monday, March 20, at 9:15 a.m., two miles north of Noble on U. S. Highway 171. Mrs. Tackett lost control of her car on the rain slick highway. Lewis hit the ditch in his car to avoid an accident, but the Tackett car slid across the highway into the ditch, and into the left front door of the Lewis car. Lewis was taken to the Sabine clinic in Zwolle, where he was pronounced dead. His body was taken to the Green Kleineger Funeral Home of Minden. Mrs. Tackett was reported to have suffered shock and minor injuries. Lewis, 35 years old, was the new business representative for Central Louisiana Electric Company for the Mansfield division, which covers Sabine Parish. He recently moved from Many to Mansfield. His wife, Angie Reagon Lewis, and his two children, Kenneth Ray Jr., 14 years old, and Valecia Ann, three years old, reside in Alexandria. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, March 22, in Minden. Sgt. Charles Russell, and Trooper 1st Class Joe Byles of the State Police, were the investigating officers, and they reported no charges were filed.
