Leach, 78, of Denham Springs, retired from Reulet Electrical Supplies, died at 11:20 a.m., March 26, 2002, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet. He was a native of Many, and was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., March 28, at Seal Funeral Home in Denham Springs, with interment following at Greenoaks Memorial Park in Baton Rouge. The Rev. Hoy Neil Leach, and the Rev. Kenneth Ray Leach officiated. Survivors include his widow, Jeane Hunt Leach of Denham Springs; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth "Libby" Leach, and Charles D. Neighbor III of Baker; son and daughter-in-law, John Michael and Anne Leach of Goldendale, Wash.; two sisters, Ruby Thigpen of Covington, and Aylean Roark of Many; three grandchildren, Brandon, and Elizabeth of Baker, and Rebekah Leach of Goldendale; brother-in-law, and sister-in-law, Donald, and Jeune Piles of Baton Rouge; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Coleman and Lillie Maud Antony Leach; brother, Hoy Leach; sister, Joe Mae Leach; niece, Joyce Leach Arnold; sister-in-law, Corinne Leach; and brother-in-law, Carey "Bo" Thigpen. Pallbearers were Barry Pipes, Shelton Roark, Tommy Roark, Phillip Roark, Coleman Leach, Michael Leach, Charles D. Neighbor III, and Jamie Hill. Honorary pallbearers were Leo Small, Donald Pipes, Jay Lilly, Dale Inman, James Jones Jr., Winn Pipes, Richard Roark, and Pal Morgan. He was a member of Family Worship Center in Baton Rouge. He was an ordained deacon at First Baptist Church in Denham Springs. He was a member of IBEW, and was the first president of the Denham Springs Camper's Club.
