Emery S. Lewis

  Emery S. Lewis, 77, of Marthaville, died in Many on Saturday,
May 31, at 11:40 a.m., following a short illness.

  Lewis is survived by two sons, Walter Lewis of Marthaville, and
Fred Lewis of Shreveport; three daughters, Mrs. Alice Davis of
Natchitoches, Mrs. Audie Hayes of Shreveport, and Mrs. Ora Green
of Marthaville; two brothers, Norris Lewis of Mansfield, and Ivy
Lewis of Shreveport; a sister, Mrs. Ellon Ferguson of Alexandria;
13 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held at the Lewis Chapel Church on Sunday,
June 1, at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Elwood Airhart, the Rev. Rodney
Duron, and the Rev. Clive Barnhill officiating.

  Burial was in the Old Pisgah Cemetery, under the direction of
Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were his grandsons.
