Lucius 28 Dec 1945 - Funeral rites for Mrs. George W. Lucius, age 79 years, were held 11 a.m. last Friday from the family residence at Fort Jesup. Rev. Thomas E. Smith of St. Louis, Mo., officiated. Interment was in Fort Jesup cemetery, Massingill funeral home directing. Surviving are: two sons, J. W. and Rupert of Many; two daughter, Mrs. J. H. Cain of Baton Rouge and Mrs. Tal C. Gibson of Joinsville; four sisters, Mrs. A. D. Moore, Stratford, Okla., Mrs. Annie Workman, Graham, Texas, Mrs. Albert Matthews, Wichita Falls, Texas; Mrs. Tom Mades, Byers, Okla.; brother-in-law, James F. Lucius, Los Angeles, Calif., sister-in-law, Mrs. Kate Lucius, Many; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers were: A. S. Gibson, C. C. Stoker, Louis Vines, Robert Lucius, F. A. Koonce, J. B. Vandegaer, LaVerne Daily and J. A. Tarver.
