All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Rupert Lucius Rupert LeRoy Lucius died Saturday, Oct. 9, at 8:30 a.m., at his home on Cross Lake, in Shreveport. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Lucius of Ft. Jesup. He was a member of the Methodist Church of Many, Many Lions Club, and the El Karubah Temple. He taught in the public schools of Sabine Parish, and was the Ford dealer in Many for many years. He is survived by his wife, the former Leona Stone of Mansfield; a son, Rupert Lucius Jr. of Many; a daughter, Mrs. J. W. Connell of Shreveport; two sisters, Mrs. Tal Gibson of Jonesville, and Mrs. J. H. Cain of DeRidder; one brother, J. W. Lucius of Many; and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, at 2:30 p.m., in the Warren Meadows Chapel, with the Rev. L. W. Taylor officiating. Burial was in the Ft. Jesup Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Loran Ebarb, Ruel Boone, Georg Boyens, Jack Winn, Jack Jordan, and Mike Pearson.
