Leggett of Many died Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999 at Sabine Medical Center in Many after a lengthy illness. Mr. Leggett had retired from Vancuver Lumber Company, now Boise Cascade in Florien. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Many with interment following at Fort Jessup Cemetery in the Ft. Jessup community near Many. The Rev. Doyle Carpenter, pastor of First United Pentecostal Church in Hornbeck, officiated. Survivors include one daughter, Ann Wilkins of Livingston, Texas; one sister, Pauline Parker and husband Robert of Conroe, Texas; two brothers, Curtis Leggett and wife Mildred of Fort Jessup Community, and O. V. Leggett of Mineral Wells, Texas; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Leggett was preceded in death by his wife, Leola Elizabeth Leggett.
