The Sabine Index - Ben J. Lockwood

  10 May 1946 - Last rites for Ben J. Lockwood, age 71, were
held 11 a.m. Tuesday from Mt. Carmel Baptist church. Rev. W. G.
Bailey and J. H. Ricks officiated. Interment was in Mr. Carmel
cemetery, Massingill funeral home directing.

  Surviving are: wife, Mrs. Ben Lockwood, Florien route one;
three daughters, Mrs. Aurie Dowden, Natchitoches, Mrs. F. O.
Haynes, Houston, Texas, Mrs. Alton Ross, Sulphur Springs, Texas;
three sons, Edward of Natchitoches, Hoyt of Shreveport, Grover of
Houston, Texas, and 10 grandchildren.
