Leggett, 53, of Many, died in Many on Wednesday, Dec. 13, following a sudden illness. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Janice Leggett of Many; two daughters, Wanda Rhodes of Fort Jesup, and Pamela Leggett of Many; two brothers, John D. Leggett of Zwolle, and Kenneth R. Leggett of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Peggy Jo Ammons of Natchitoches, and Lowanda Reid of Houston, Tex.; his father, John W. Leggett of Many; his step mother, Dorothy Leggett of Many; and one grandchild. Funeral services were held at the Many First United Methodist Church on Friday, Dec. 15, at 10 a.m. The Rev. Ray Spiller officiated. Masonic graveside services were conducted at the Old Pisgah Cemetery. The service was under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers were D. J. Ammons, Johnny Leggett, Norman Scioneaux, Jeff Leggett, Bill Reid, and Nick Porto.
