Leggett, 67, were held at 10 a.m., Monday, January 6, 1992, at the First Zwolle United Methodist Church. Officiating was the Rev. Richard Teter, assisted by Rev. Mel Zeger. Burial followed in the Zwolle Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Leggett passed away, Saturday, January 4, 1992, at his residence, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Leggett was a lifelong resident of Zwolle. He was a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Masonic Lodge, and he belonged to the First Methodist Church of Zwolle. He was a retired merchant. He worked for Nichols Department store 32 years. Survivors include his wife, Zula Leggett of Zwolle; two sons, Johnny B. Leggett of Chatham, and Willis "Jeff" Leggett of Zwolle; one daughter, Sherry Jackson of Monroe; two sisters, Peggy Ammons, and LaWanda Reid, both of Natchitoches; one brother, Kenneth Leggett of Baton Rouge; seven grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
