McClellan Veterans Hospital in Little Rock, Ark., after a brief illness. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 5, at Warren Meadows Funeral Chapel, with interment following at Shiloh Cemetery (in the Noble-Converse area). Military graveside services were performed, with a 21 gun salute, and the playing of Taps provided by the local chapter of the DAV. Elder Terry W. Foster of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, officiated. Survivors include his widow, Linda Leggett of Ebarb; one son, Alan J. Leggett of Mira Loma, Calif.; two daughters, Laura Leggett of Zwolle, and Katrina Leggett Walker and husband Ernie of Ebarb; five grandchildren, Ashley, and Jason Weeks, Amanda Leggett of Zwolle, Jeffrey Leggett of Mira Loma, Calif., and Sterling Brown of Ebarb; four brothers, Bill Leggett, Samuel and Ramona Leggett, all of Converse, Jim and Frankie Leggett of Brownwood, Texas, and Joe and Love Leggett of Mineral Wells, Texas; two sisters, Letha and Clarence Bearden of Fisher, and Betty and Tommy McComic of Many; two sisters-in-law, Helen Leggett of Jena, and Jean Leggett of Livingston, Texas; three brothers-in-law, Clifton Batson of Zwolle, O. V. Leggett of Mineral Wells, Texas, and Gene Coffee of Converse; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Mr. Leggett was preceded in death by his parents, Albert James Leggett Sr., and Vircy Webb Leggett; and 13 brothers and sisters.
