All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Greg Lockwood (Photo) Greg Lockwood, the 15 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Lockwood of Fisher, died at Many Hospital on Monday, May 30, at 4:50 a.m., following an extended illness. A former student at Florien High School, the youth had been ill for several months. His one joy in life, during his illness, was talking on the CB radio to CB'ers all over the parish. Prior to his illness, Greg enjoyed deer hunting, camping, and fishing with his friends. His hobby was auto mechanics, and he was always interest in new cars. Despite his illness, Greg possessed a happy and cheerful personality, which made him beloved by young and old alike. Greg attended Fisher Sawmill Days, May 19-22, and had the opportunity to visit with his many friends during the festival. One highlight for the youth was seeing his sister crowned Sawmill Days Queen. Survivors include his parents; one brother, Ben Lockwood of Fisher; one sister, Regina Lockwood of Fisher; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Estelle Lockwood of Shreveport; and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Woodle of Fisher. Funeral services were held at the Fisher First Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 1, at 10 a.m. The Rev. Travis McCullough, and the Rev. Otho Greer officiated. Burial was in the Pine Knot Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Edward Freeman, Sam Richardson, Kevin Lewing, Rickey Snider, Rodger Knippers, and Doug Robertson.
