Lightfoot, 75, of Shreveport, died Thursday, March 27, in Confederate Memorial Hospital, after a lengthy illness. A native of Many, Mrs. Lightfoot had lived in Shreveport about 23 years. She was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m., Friday, in Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel in Many, with the Rev. Bill Baker, pastor of Emanuel Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Many Cemetery. Survivors are her husband, Bonnie E. Lightfoot; four daughters, Mrs. Joe McComic Sr., and Mrs. Frank Manning, both of Shreveport, Mrs. Curtis Williams of Converse, Mrs. Dale Jackson of Springfield, Va.; one son, Burton Lightfoot of Negreet; three sisters, Mrs. Lillie Owens of Hornbeck, Mrs. Minnie Erwin of San Augustine, Tex., Mrs. Jennie Hollaway, Chireno, Tex.; 18 grandchildren; and a number of great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jo McComic Jr., Wayne E. Lightfoot, Thomas Lightfoot, Johnny Williams, Bonnie Williams, and Jack Lightfoot, all grandsons of Mrs. Lightfoot.
