Mr. Carl Orland Lester

  Mr. Carl Orland Lester, 75, died at Willis Knighton in Shreveport
Sunday, July 25, 1999.

  Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 28 at Warren
Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Ft. Jessup
Cemetery. The Rev. Ken Murray and the Rev. Dan Mappus will officiate.

  Survivors include his widow, Willivae Johnson Lester of Shreveport;
children, Frances Veuleman Foster and husband Freddie L. of Shreveport,
H. Ray "Buddy" Veuleman Sr. and wife Barbara of Robeline, Charlotte
Veuleman Echols and husband Mike of Shreveport and David Lester and
wife Ruth of Robeline; two sisters, Joyce Myers and Barbara Fleury
and husband Clayton, both of Atlanta, Ga.; five brothers, retired
Major John C. Lester Jr. and wife Betty of Augusta, Ga., Daniel C.
Lester and wife Dorothy of Avenger, Texas, Creed Lester and wife
Betty of Many, Bradley Lester and wife Linda of Knoxville, Tenn.
and Robert Lester of Zwolle; 10 grandchildren; seven great-
grandchildren. Mr. Lester was preceded in death by his parents,
John C. and Edna Lester; two brothers, Lawrence C. and Charles H.
Lester.

  Pallbearers were Ray Veuleman Jr., David C. Lester, Christopher
Lester, Michael Echols, Dale Gannon. Josh Reese, Woodrow Parham and
David M. Jones.
