Lester died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. P. J. Herrington, Florien, Route 1, early Sunday morning. Funeral services and interment were Sunday afternoon, being conducted by the Rev. W. G. Bailey, Baptist pastor at the Middle Creek church and cemetery. Mrs. Lester came to Sabine parish at the age of five from Alabama with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Coburn, was a life-long member of the Middle Creek Baptist Church, an active community worker and number friends in her sphere by the hundreds. Deceased is survived by four daughters; Mrs. P. J. Herrington, Mrs. Elizabeth Addison, Mrs. J. W. Druett, Mrs. J. C. Leach, all of Florien, Route 1 and two sons, W. M. Lester of Nederland, Texas, and Dr. W. D. Lester of Many. She is also survived by a large number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
