Claude Lester

  Funeral services were held for Claude Lester of Many, in the
Warren Baptist Church, on Sunday, Dec. 14, at 3 p.m. Burial was
in the Ft. Jesup Cemetery. The Rev. Travis McCullough, the Rev.
Ray Penfield, and the Rev. Glen Flenniken officiated.

  Mr. Lester died after a short illness, at 4 a.m., on Dec. 13. He
was 69 years of age.

  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Gladys Lester of Many; a son
Claude Lester Jr. of Many; two daughters, Mrs. Luline Bonds, and
Mrs. Gloria McCormic, both of Many; one brother from Houma, Chris
C. Lester; a sister, Mrs. Mettie Canady of Florien; nine
grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

  Pallbearers included Rudy Taylor, Benny Taylor, Oscar Canady,
Tom Canady, Charles, and Orlon Lester.

  Burial was under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
