All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Gaddis Leggion Funeral services for Gaddis Leggion, 95, a native of Natchitoches, and a resident of Galvez, were held at 1 p.m., at the Hollabaugh-Spindle Funeral Home, 1553 Wooddale Blvd., at Tom Drive, Baton Rouge, La. Visiting was held Nov. 9, at the Beulah Methodist Church, Marthaville, until religious services were held. Interment was in the church cemetery. Mr. Leggion died at 7:30 p.m., at Ascension Hospital in Gonzales, La. He was a retired Exxon Company USA machinist. Survivors are six daughters, Mrs. Robert (Mary) Robbins of Galvez, Mrs. John (Audrey) Sullivan of Denham Springs, Mrs. Gerald (Doris) McFerren, Mrs. Alvert (Faye) Odom, and Mrs. Tommy (Kaye) Cowart, all of Galvez; three sons, Floyd "Pete" Leggion of Shreveport, Wallace Leggion, New Orleans, and Michael Leggion of Denham Springs; four daughters-in-law, Pauline Leggion of Shreveport, Shelby T. Leggion of New Orleans, Glynda Leggion of Denham Springs, and Gladys Leggion of Baton Rouge; one sister-in-law, Christine Akridge of Galvez; 30 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by seven sons; two wives, Fannie Martin, and Elmer Akridge; five daughters; two sons-in-law; three grandchildren; two sisters, and a brother.
