Walker R. Ledford were held at 2 p.m., May 15, 1994, at the First Baptist Church of Zwolle. Officiating were Dr. Arnold Nelson, and Rev. Ben L. Isgitt. Rev. Ledford passed away Friday, May 13, 1994, of a lengthy illness. Rev. Ledford was a faithful Christian, who served his Lord as a helpful, loving, and compassionate pastor of churches in Logansport, Zwolle, Belmont, and Robeline. He loved the Lord, and did his work for 50 years, and was an inspiration to all that knew him. Rev. Ledford, at age 74, was conducting Bible Study in his home, at the time of his death. Rev. Walker Ledford is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Eloice Neal Ledford of Zwolle; three sons, Harold J. Ledford and his wife, Angela, both of Natchitoches, James R. Ledford and his wife Sue, both of Shreveport, John Greg Ledford and his wife Margie, both of Zwolle; grandchildren, Richard D. Ledford of Natchitoches, Christine Ledford of Galveston, Tim Ledford of Shreveport, Alicia Ledford of McComb, Mississippi, Nedra and Chris Plumers of Dallas, Michael Ledford of Zwolle, and Michael Sullivan of Zwolle; one sister, Auneta Ware of Georgetown, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Rev. Ledford had a degree from the Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, was a veteran of World War II, Masonic Lodge member, and a member of the Southern Baptist Convention.
