Herbert V. Lites

  Herbert V. Lites, 82, formerly of Many, died Aug. 29, after an
extended illness, in Shreveport.

  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ada Patrick Lites of Texarkana,
Tex.; three sons, Harvey, and Holland Herbert Lites, both of
Fouke, Ark., and Buddy Lites of Bossier City; a daughter, Mrs. C.
T. Walden of Many; three brothers, Les, and Ray Lites, both of
Many, and E. O. Lites of Hall Summitt; two sisters, Mrs. Vera
McWherter of New Orleans, and Mrs. Winnie Dees of Many; six
grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Aug. 30,
with the Rev. J. D. Scott, and the Rev. O. Stalcup officiating.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, under the direction of
Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.
