Claude Ladkin, Sr.

  Funeral services for Claude Ladkin Sr., 78, of Florien, were
held Saturday, Feb. 8, 1997, at 11 a.m., at New Home Baptist
Church in Many. Officiating was Rev. Jacob Maxie. Interment
followed at Pilgrim Star Cemetery in Florien, under the direction
of Ridgley Funeral Home.

  Mr. Ladkin Sr. died Sunday, Feb. 2, at Integrated Health
Services in Many.

  He is survived by one son, Claude Ladkin Jr. of Florien; three
daughters, Essie Smith of Florien, Mary Harrington of Many, and
Donna Thomas of Zwolle; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great
grandchildren.
