Latham, 55, of Shreveport, were held at 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 17, at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating was the Rev. Joe Aulds, pastor of Pinecroft Baptist Church, where Mr. Latham was a member, assisted by the Rev. Jerry Smucker, pastor of Emeritus of Pinecroft Baptist Church. Graveside services were conducted at Converse Cemetery, at 3 p.m. Mr. Latham, a native of Converse, La., and resident of Shreveport 30 years, died at 3:22 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 16, 1984, at Willis-Knighton Medical Center, after a short illness. He served in the U. S. Air Force, and was a former employee of the U. S. Postal Service. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Cathey Latham of Shreveport; two sons, Terry Latham, also of Shreveport, and Dr. Rick Latham, M. D. of San Antonio, Texas; one sister, Maybelle Blevins of Shreveport; six brothers, Lennis E. Latham of Mansfield, Floyd Latham of Converse, George T. "Pete" Latham of Deer Park, Texas, R. D. Latham of Houston, Texas, Thomas "Red" Latham of Winnfield, and Monroe Latham, also of Converse; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were G. B. Blevins, Joe Murray, Walter Cash, Jake Thibodeaux, Claude Shows, and Bob Wilson.
