All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Wayne Franklin Latham Funeral services for Wayne Franklin Latham, 70, of Greenville, Miss., were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, in the Drewett Funeral Home Chapel in Mansfield, La., with Rev. Mel Zerger, and Rev. Richard Plunkett officiating. He died Thursday, Jan. 22, at St. Francis Hospital, Memphis, Tenn. He was a native of Converse, La., and was an Air Force Veteran of World War II. After his discharge, he lived in Boyle, Miss. In 1948, he moved to Hollandale, where he was employed at the Mississippi Cottonseed Products, Hollandale Oil Mill Co., until 1967. He moved to Greenville at that time. He was employed as a motor vehicle comptroller, with the Tax Commission, until retirement in 1981. He was a Mason, a member of Lions Club of Greenville, of the VFW, First United Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Linda McCollard, and Mary Jo Latham, both of Memphis; a son, Wayne F. Latham Jr. of Memphis; three sisters, Audrey Mulloy of Noble, Clara Lynch of Noble, and Mattie Norwood of Mansfield; two brothers, T. J. Latham, and Travis Latham, both of Mansfield; and two granddaughters of Memphis. Burial was in Noble Cemetery, Noble, La.
